Underclass Championships to be Broadcast on ESPN
CSE and ESPN expand their relationship to cover the Under Armour All-America Underclass Tournament
Elkridge, Md. (January 27, 2021) – Corrigan Sports Enterprises has reached an agreement with ESPN to broadcast the Under Armour All-America Underclass Highlight Championship games in 2021.
Boys and girls Highlight Division Championships will be broadcast live on ESPN3 and re-telecast on ESPNU. CSE and ESPN orchestrated a similar partnership in 2020, as the Senior games were cancelled due to the Covid-19 pandemic.
In 2020, fans and college coaches of all levels had the opportunity to watch:
- Washington DC vs. Philadelphia in the boys Championship: Washington D.C won in an overtime thriller
- Long Island vs. Baltimore in the girls Championship: Baltimore prevailed 11-6
Lee Corrigan, President of CSE, said, “We are thrilled to extend our relationship with ESPN to now cover the Underclass Championships. Our goal is to provide the best players in lacrosse a chance to be seen. With ESPN, we now give them a platform to be recognized. I am very excited to have all 12 regions once again in Maryland competing for their chance to be crowned a champion on national television.”
This year the Underclass tournament will be held at Blandair Park and Troy Park, both in Howard County, Md. The Under Armour All-America is the best place to get recruited as DI, DII, and DIII coaches come from all over the country to tryouts and the main event in Maryland.
