Each team will play three games on Sunday, November 11, 2018

Please note – 

Due to the early sundown, we plan to start the 2:00, 3:00 and 4:00 pm games as soon as the game prior ends, but no earlier than 20 minutes before the hour. Also, we’ll have minimal halftime breaks in the 1:00, 2:00, 3:00, and 4:00 pm games. We’ve changed the game format from quarters to halves to ensure that all of the games will be completed before sundown. If you are scheduled to play in the 2:00, 3:00, and/or 4:00 time slot, please arrive at your fields no later than 30 minutes before the scheduled start of your game, and be prepared to play early.

RULES:

  1. All rules will be in accordance with NFHSand US Lacrosse standards
  2. 20 sec / 10 sec clearing rule for divisions 2026 and up– 20 seconds to clear the ball from your defensive end. 10 seconds to get into the offensive box
    • 20/10 count WAIVED FOR 2027
  3. 24 minute running halves, with a 3 minute halftime
  4. 1 Timeout per HALF; 1 minute duration; Game clock will stop. TO’s do NOT carry over to 2nd half, if not use.
  5. Clock is start/stop under 2 minutes if the score differential is three goals or less.
  6. NEW in 2017( Federation) – If a team is up by 5 or more, ‘KEEP IT IN’ the box is waived under the final 2 minutes.
  7. Referees will keep Game time. Penalty time will be kept in the box.

  8. In the event of a tie, teams will play one sudden victory overtime period with a maximum of five minutes. No time-outs permitted in overtime. A one minute break will be given before overtime. NO BRAVEHEARTS
  9. There are no mandatory stick checks. However, the head coach may request a stick check. If the stick is found to be legal, the challenging team will be charged a time out. If no timeout remains, a delay of game technical foul will be assessed.
  10. Decisions on the field are the final ruling. No disputes will be heard after the game.
  11. Any coach or player ejected from a game will not be allowed to participate in the following scheduled game for their team.
  12. Teams that appear to be stalling will be warned to keep the ball in the box. All teams with a lead must keep the ball in the box for the last two minutes of the game.
  13. Fouling Out: Any player who accumulates 4 personal fouls or 5 minutes in personal foul penalty time shall be disqualified from the game.

2027-2023 Specific Rules

  1. US Lacrosse Youth Rules (Points of Emphasis)
    1. Checks to head/neck may result in multiple minutes and/or non-releasable
    2. Unnecessary roughness penalties are non-releasable
    3. No take-out checks.
  2. Limited body checking at the 2026 & 2027 levels
  3. Long poles at the 2027 levels CANNOT be more than 54″
  4. Equipment: goalies must wear arm pads. All players must wear protective cup.
  5. Three-yard rule: All stick checks, body checks, legal holds, and legal pushes must be on a player in possession of the ball or within three yards of a loose ball.
  6. Mercy rule in effect for 2027 only. If a team goes up by 6 goals, a free clear is awarded to the team that is behind.
  7. Two Minute Stall Rule:
    1. 2026-2023: The Final Two Minute stalling rule shall be ENFORCED for these Divisions
    2. 2027 The Final Two Minute stalling rule shall be

GENERAL RULES:

  • Mouth guards, arm pads, gloves, helmets, and shoulder pads are required
  • Players may only play for one team during the tournament.
  • Any fighting of flagrant disrespect towards an official will result in expulsion for the remainder of the game and possibly the tournament. No exceptions, no refunds!
  • Please remember all teams came from far and near expecting to play a certain number of games and we rely on the professionalism and sportsmanship of all coaches involved to hold that commitment.
